Last winter, the valley where I live had almost 3 month of heavy inversion. It was literally "I can't breath" time. My sinuses closed off and I came down with a persistent cough. My air pollution weakened body was a prime target for every germ or virus that floated by.

I knew I had to do something to clear the air. I decided I needed to look for a germicidal air purifier. After I brought my newly purchased air purifier home, I installed it next to my bed. The negative ions generated killed almost all germs, including viruses and bacteria. Other models use ultra violet to do the same thing. The big plus was that it cleaned the air borne particles from my sleeping air.

The results? I went from "I can't breath" to "I can breath." My vulnerability to the winter colds and flues almost disappeared.
